Ingredients for processed cheese and cheese foods
Processed cheese and cheese foods are heat-treated products, predominantly based on natural cheese, that can also incorporate a mixture of different ingredients.
Processed cheese can be made from young or mild cheese (functional cheese) which adds body and intact protein to the formulation; mature or tasty cheese (flavour cheese), to give the cheese a richer flavour; and medium cheese (filler cheese), to add body or texture.
Our optimised range of cheeses is designed for processing and includes functional, flavour, and filler cheeses. Manufacturers can also benefit from the use of our protein solutions in their cheese making.
Final end applications for processed cheese include individually wrapped slices, slice on slice, cheese block, shred cheese, and cheese spread products.
