Construction is officially underway at Fonterra’s new UHT cream plant at Edendale following a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday.

Recently, two of our manufacturing team, Taryn Haslem and Conrad Harle, visited China to gain firsthand experience of our Co-op’s operations and the dynamic Chinese market.

On Thursday night, Fonterra celebrated the hard work of its New Zealand manufacturing sites and people at the Co-op’s annual Best Site Cup Awards. The evening brought together nearly 200 site representatives to celebrate the hard mahi from the past season.

Since the closure of Fonterra’s ethanol plant at its Edgecumbe site in 2020 (Check) the site has been working to recycle the old kit – and with the help of Proquip, it’s managed to recycle a remarkable 98%.
