Fonterra Brands Malaysia (FBM) has been recognized for its recognised for its world-class employee engagement and workplace excellence for the second consecutive year, clinching the HR Asia’s “Best Companies to Work for in Asia” title award.
The HR Asia Awards recognizes companies that show world-class employee engagement and workplace excellence while displaying demonstrable empathy and care for their people.
“We’re thrilled to be recognized as one of the best companies to work for in Asia for the second year in a row,” said FBM’s HR Director Carolyn Lim. “The endorsement of our people makes this win particularly meaningful and inspires us to do even better”.
FBM is one of 78 winners of the title award which demonstrated excellence in creating exemplary work environments for their employees, out of over 300 organizations vying for the prestigious recognition.
“This second-time win reaffirms our efforts that we are doing the right things for our people. It tells us that our people feel happy, safe, and comfortable to bring their whole selves to work,” says Lim.
A two-pronged approach forms the award criteria – 80% from an employee survey which ranks their workplace based on metrics ranging from workplace happiness and team cohesion to employee advocacy and continued job motivation. The other 20% comes from an assessment of employee value proposition, the ability of the business to navigate the workforce through challenging times, as well as the organization’s learning and talent development plans.
Danny Siew, one of FBM’s long-service award recipients who completed 15 years of service shared that the people, culture, and values in Fonterra remain the key reasons why the team feel gratified.
“Fonterra creates a strong sense of belonging, more like a family. Being with the co-operative and in the IT field for more than a decade, I’ve been privileged to witness how the business has evolved from embracing transformative digitalisation to focussing on diversity, equity, and inclusion in all that we do – it’s always a people-first organization”.
