New data indicates that the on-going work by farmers to protect our waterways is beginning to show.
More river water sites are improving then deteriorating in quality according to the latest water quality trends released by Land, Air, Water Aotearoa (LAWA).
The trends are an indication that the on-going work by our farmers is starting to show. Over 98% of all significant waterways have been fenced and 95% of our farmers completed nitrogen management reports.
Of course, our farmers often collaborate with many groups, organisations and the regional council in their communities.
