Susumas & Dairymas plants recognised for excellent OSH performance
Our Operations teams at Susumas and Dairymas plants were recognized with a Gold Merit award for excellent OSH performance!
The Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety & Health (MSOSH) OSH Awards is an annual award presented to organizations in Malaysia with proven outstanding Occupational Safety and Health performance.
Clinching the award under the Manufacturing and Chemical Industry category for year 2020, the recognition is a step up for both plants who previously received a Gold Class 1 award in 2019.
This win is indeed a testament for the efforts by both teams in pursuit towards Occupational, Safety and Health (OSH) excellence - achieving new milestone of two (2) years TRI (Total Recordable Injuries) free days, rated “A” in Workplace inspection by Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), and “Adequate” rating in internal audit through 17 modules based on Safe Home System of Fonterra Global Standard.
The teams also re-introduced Fonterra 6 Life Savers – A way of connecting our people to the most significant risks by providing six simple behaviours to be adhered to keep everyone safe. The elements include 1. Be fit for work 2. Use the right PPE for the task 3. Always drive safely 4. Work with a valid permit 5. Only operate equipments with safeguards in place and 6. Follow access rule.

This is indeed a remarkable achievement despite weathering a challenging year due to the C-19 pandemic - a true reflection of being Good Together whilst emphasising the importance of high involvement from all parties in driving an excellent safety culture.
